Neurodevelopmental Assessments

Thorough ADHD, Autism and AuDHD assessments for children, adolescents and adults.

A neurodevelopmental assessment gives you clear, evidence-based answers about how you or your child think, learn and experience the world, and a clear path forward from there.

We start by understanding your story and what's prompted the assessment. From there, we use thorough, evidence-based tools to build a clear picture, and take the time to explain what the results mean and what support could look like next.

What we assess

What we assess

We assess children, adolescents and adults for ADHD, Autism and AuDHD, providing clarity for school, work, or simply understanding yourself better.

An assessment isn’t a label to fear. It’s clarity you can actually use.

Practical support for real change

Practical support for real change

We combine structured, evidence-based assessment tools with an understanding of your day-to-day experience. The aim is to explore your strengths, the difficulties you encounter and the questions you would like answered, rather than reduce your experience to a score or label.

An ADHD or autism assessment can draw on conversations about development, learning, relationships and everyday functioning, alongside questionnaires and relevant observations. With consent, information from family members, teachers or other professionals may help build a fuller picture. The assessment approach depends on the person and the questions being explored.

For children, adolescents and adults, useful assessment information can help make sense of experiences at home, school or work. Findings can inform conversations about appropriate supports, adjustments and next steps. An assessment does not guarantee a particular diagnosis or eligibility for funding, and further input from another professional may sometimes be needed.

If you are considering an assessment in Newcastle or the Hunter, tell us who it is for and what you hope to understand. We can explain the available assessment options, what information to bring, and the fees and appointment requirements before you decide how to proceed.
